From the perspective of market competition, Chinese five axis manufacturers can be divided into three tiers.
The first tier European manufacturers, represented by GF, GROB, and DMG MORI, have great advantages in product accuracy and stability, and have a high reputation in the aerospace and automotive industries;
The second tier domestic manufacturers, represented by BJJD and KEDE, are becoming increasingly mature in both system software development and overall technology;
The third tier Taiwanese manufacturers, such as QUICKJET, WELE, KEN, etc., have high precision five axis machine tools, but the top manufacturers do not ship many five axis machines. Due to import restrictions, Japanese and Korean machine tool manufacturers are not included in the list of major players.
In 2023, Beijing Jingdiao has risen to become a manufacturer with a relatively high proportion of sales of five axis machine tools. Among the top 10, with the continuous improvement of technical capabilities of private enterprises such as Beijing Jingdiao, Kede CNC, Tuopu, and Evermi, the market share of domestic manufacturers has been increasing year by year, breaking the previous situation where the five axis market was almost completely monopolized by foreign machine tool manufacturers.
The market demand for five axis machine tools, especially linkage five axis machine tools, in China is gradually expanding, and domestic manufacturers are also making efforts. In recent years, equipment performance has been continuously improved, and technological breakthroughs have been gradually achieved, narrowing the gap with foreign manufacturers.
Domestic manufacturers have developed rapidly, with significant annual revenue growth on average. With the increasing attention to the five axis machine tool market, new manufacturers have entered the market, and more and more domestic manufacturers are starting to produce five axes domestically. As a result, the proportion of localization has been significantly increased, and there is great potential for domestic substitution in the future.
